Kristoffer Lavasi‘i is a Samoan-New Zealander with ties to the villages of Musumusu, Vaigaga and Saleaula. He was Maebh Long’s Summer Research Intern for a project on Kovave, a magazine that ran in Papua New Guinea in the late 1960s and 1970s.
